Over the past few years we’ve been striving towards customer service excellence, and one of the ways we get there is by informing business owners, entrepreneurs, and business professionals through community events. With that in mind, we at the City of Los Angeles Office of Finance are proud to announce our new Request a Speaker initiative, which encourages organizations to invite our tax compliance staff members to meetings, conferences, and events related to topics like LA City Business Tax Compliance and Business Tax Exemptions.
In 2019, our staff presented and participated in more than 25 events including a Women’s Entrepreneurship Event, Accessing LA which focuses on contracting opportunities for small businesses, the Mayor’s Small Business Summit, and A Bunker Labs Workshop which focused on resources for business owned by veterans.
Even though we’d like to accommodate every event request, we must note that our attendance and participation is dependent on staff availability. We encourage you to put in your requests as early as possible to increase your chances of having one of our staff members join your event.
Our staff business tax staff can serve as speakers, panelists, and exhibitors. Once you submit the request form, our staff will evaluate event details and follow up with you accordingly.
