Payment and Privacy Policies

The City of Los Angeles adheres to strict policies to protect your privacy

The City of Los Angeles is committed to data security and the data quality of personally identifiable information that is either available from or collected by our web site and has taken reasonable precautions to protect such information from loss, misuse or alteration.

The City operates "secure data networks" protected by industry standard firewalls and password protection systems. Only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our users.

When a City application accepts credit cards or any other particularly sensitive information for any of its services, it encrypts all ordering information, such as your name and credit card number, in order to protect confidentiality.

**Please note:  

For your security, credit card payments are not accepted via mail. To pay via credit card please use our online services or visit one of our public counters.
Please note that all Credit or Debit Card payments will be assessed a fee equal to 2.49% of the payment amount. Payments of $50,000 or more require Automated Clearing House (ACH), which is an electronic network of financial institutions.  Registration will be required for ACH payment processing.
