The new Office of Finance online CPRA program went live at the end of 2015. Public records requests can now be submitted and tracked online. We also have a dedicated CPRA e-mail address (finance.recordrequest@lacity.org) if requesters have additional questions or concerns that were not addressed online. Additionally, a requester can still drop off or mail a CPRA request if they do not want to submit online.
Please keep in mind that non-financial information such as name, business address (including home-based businesses), mailing address, etc., contained in City of Los Angeles tax and permit records, is subject to public disclosure under provisions of the California Public Records Act, Government Code Section 6250 et seq. Residential information may also be subject to public disclosure if that location is utilized for business and/or mailing purposes.
